This Way / That Way Directional Mitten Pattern (PDF) - Knitting Pattern by Phibersmith Designs
Also available as a kit
Turn right or turn left? And which is which, anyway? Take the guesswork out of it for them, and keep their fingers snug in these creative mittens they’ll love to wear (and put on by themselves!).
On the back, trucks are heading out in opposite directions - some to the right, and some to the left. And in case that doesn’t quite clinch it, the palm of each mitten is marked with a big letter “R” and “L,” respectively. In fun bright colours, and super soft, superwash merino, they’ll never have to ask for directions again.
The pattern is fully charted and relies on reading colourwork charts for success. Written instructions for mitten construction also included, but chart-reading is necessary. Full list of abbreviations included, plus colourwork tutorial link.
